CONNXION PRETEEN GROUP

Specially designed for those in grade 5-8, ConnXion combines fun outings and exciting in-house themed parties for preteens. We pick up and drop off every preteen from their home for each event. Most events are free to attend except for outings (like swimming, waterslides, or Castle Fun Park) where there is an admission charge. During our in-house events, we have a small concession with food items for sale, so some kids like to bring a little spending money for those items.

Preteens are usually picked up between 4:30 and 6:30 and get home by 10:00 PM. Most ConnXion events are held at Christian Life Assembly in Langley at 21277 – 56 Ave.

— What is ConnXion?

ConnXion is a free program for preteens to be able to have fun, make friends, and learn about God is a welcoming environment.

— Who can attend?

ConnXion is for students in grades 5-8.
We currently run free bus and van routes in Surrey through the Guildford, Whalley, Cedar Hills, Newton, and Cloverdale neighbourhoods. In Langley, our buses go to Langley City, Willoughby, Brookswood, and Aldergrove.

— When is ConnXion?

ConnXion is usually held every other Friday evening. Our program runs from 7:00 – 8:30 PM, and pickups start about 5:30 PM and we aim to have everyone home before 10:30 PM.

— Where is ConnXion held?

ConnXion is held at Christian Life Assembly at 21277 – 56 Ave. in Langley. We meet in the Conference Hall, if you are dropping off your student please drop off a the back traffic circle. You will see our team with a parent pick up and drop off zone.

— How do I sign my preteen up?

You can go to www.metrokids.ca/cxreg for our weekly sign up sheet. Or call 604-812-7178 to talk to one of our staff. We send out a weekly invite with information about the next event to those interested via our web based eztexting program – the number will show up on your phone as (604) 337-4784. You can send texts to this number but not call it.

— Is there a registration fee?

No! Thanks to our generous donors, we are able to make this a free program including free transportation.

— Is there ANY cost involved?

Yes, from time to time we will offer field trips to places like Cultus Lake Waterslides, or Castle Fun Park, etc. Those are a cost event and we try to give parents as much advance notice to save up the funds. As well, there is a concession stand (pop, chips, candy) at most of our ConnXion events, if the preteens wish to buy something there they can bring a few dollars. All money raised at our concession goes towards purchasing supplies for various events.
