This role involves engaging with children in various neighbourhoods and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through creative programming, relationship-building, and leadership. Team Leads must be willing to travel to multiple program sites in Langley and Surrey throughout the week. Because this role involves leading Christian programming and representing our organization in the community, applicants must be comfortable supporting and communicating the Christian faith in a manner consistent with our mission and values. Part-Time: Approximately 26 hours per week Required Dates • 4 Saturdays in June (35 hours total) • Canada Day fundraiser at CLA Church (June 28) • 8-week program running from July 7 to August 28 (Sidewalk in July & August: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays; Youth/Preteen Program: Fridays; Local Mission Trip: August 25-27) • Attendance at the Step Up for Kids fundraiser on August 23, 2026 Assets • First Aid Certification • Leadership experience • Experience working with children or youth • Class 4 or 5 Driver’s License Pay: $21.00 per hour Additional Benefits • Mentorship and training from the Kids Klub Director • Leadership and ministry development • Meaningful work serving children and the community Sidewalk Assistant Job Description The Sidewalk Program Assistant will work closely with and support the Team Lead in delivering the Sidewalk Kids Klub program. This role involves assisting with community outreach, engaging with children in various neighbourhoods, and helping share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through creative programming, relationship-building, and teamwork. Program Assistants will specifically support the Team Lead by helping with program setup and takedown, facilitating activities, supervising children, and ensuring programs run smoothly. They will also assist in building positive relationships with participants and contribute to creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. Assistants must be willing to travel to multiple program sites in Langley and Surrey throughout the week. Because this role involves supporting Christian programming and representing our organization in the community, applicants must be comfortable supporting and communicating the Christian faith in a manner consistent with our mission and values. This role focuses on supporting the delivery of a welcoming, engaging, and faith-centered environment for youth and preteens through intentional programming, relationship-building, and teamwork. The intern will support the Youth/Preteen Pastors with weekly program preparation and execution, transportation, including helping facilitate games, activities, small group discussions, and teaching support. They will assist in supervising participants, engaging with youth and preteens, and helping create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment. The intern will also play a key role in building relationships with participants, encouraging involvement, and supporting the overall flow of the evening. A willingness to learn, take direction, and contribute as part of a team is essential. While this role is not part of the Sidewalk Kids Klub program, there may be opportunities for the intern to attend or assist with Sidewalk programming during the week. This role focuses on creating a user-friendly and secure home for our information. Much of this position involves independent programming, debugging, data entry, and most importantly, collaboration and testing with staff members in real-world situations. One day per week will also be spent on the field, working alongside the youth, preteen, or children’s teams in their outreaches, with opportunities to test software in actual situations. Because this role involves supporting Christian programming and representing our organization in the community, applicants must be comfortable supporting the Christian faith in a manner consistent with our mission and values. Full-Time: Approximately 30-35 hours per week from June 5 to August 13.
